Mito ou verdade: VOIP em dispositivos móveis?

As mais recentes mudanças no setor de TI foram o lançamento do Windows Vista, o anúncio do iPhone, entre outras. Uma delas também foi a entrada do VOIP (Voice over IP) no Brasil.

As mais recentes mudanças no setor de TI foram o lançamento do Windows Vista, o anúncio do iPhone, entre outras. Uma delas também foi a entrada do VOIP (Voice over IP) no Brasil. Uma tecnologia que permite estabelecer a conversação telefônica em uma Rede IP (Internet), transformando a transmissão de voz em dados. Um dos primeiros e mais conhecidos programas para o usuário final que permite através da Internet realizar ligações foi o Skype. Tá lembrado?

Essa “nova onda” trouxe inúmeros benefícios para os usuários em relação a telefonia convencional, principalmente, a redução de custos. Isso porque a rede de dados não segue a mesma tarifação das ligações telefônicas convencionais. A telefonia fixa tradicional é calculada em função de distâncias geodésicas e horários de utilização estabelecidos pelas Operadoras de Telefonia. Outra grande vantagem do VoIP é utilizar a comutação por pacotes, o que a torna mais "inteligente" no aproveitamento dos recursos existentes, diferentemente da telefonia fixa, que é baseada em comutação de circuitos, que podem ou não estar sendo utilizados.

O funcionamento do VoIP baseia-se em transformar a voz em pacotes de dados para trafegar pela rede e ser convertido em voz novamente em seu destino. Sem sombra de dúvida, a principal vantagem está na redução de custo: uma vez adotado o VoIP pode-se atingir até 70% de economia com serviços de telefonia. As grandes operadoras de call center do País já estão adotando o VOIP e outras estão migrando.

Mas toda essa facilidade até pouco tempo atrás era apenas obtida em um local fixo com computadores ou com aparelhos próprios para isso. A novidade é que várias empresas estão trabalhando arduamente para o uso do VOIP em todos os dispositivos móveis, ou seja, no celular , PDA ou smartphone. Os usuários de Pocket PC já podem desfrutar dessa facilidade no Brasil. Ou seja, todos esses benefícios listados anteriormente podem ser usufruídos num dispositivo móvel.

O funcionamento é bem simples. Por exemplo, você está falando com alguém pelo seu smartphone por meio do VOIP em movimento com cobertura wi-fi, entra numa área que não tem mais conexão wi-fi, automaticamente o sistema muda e aciona o plano da sua operadora, sem cair a ligação. Duas grandes vantagens: redução drástica de custos, pois a ligação VOIP é bem mais barata do que o das operadoras de telefonia móvel, e não perde a conversa.

A expectativa dos especialistas no assunto é bem positiva em relação a utilização da tecnologia VOIP em dispositivos móveis. Atualmente o uso de VOIP em aparelhos móveis é inexpressiva no País, mas acredita-se que irá crescer muito em pouco tempo e outros até afirmam que toda a telefonia será baseada em VOIP tanto para o uso corporativo como para os consumidores finais. The newness is that some companies are working arduamente for the use of the VOIP in all the mobile devices, that is, in the cellular one, PDA or smartphone. The users of Pocket PC already can enjoy of this easiness in Brazil. That is, all these listed benefits previously can be usufructed in a mobile device.

The functioning is well simple. For example, you are saying with somebody for its smartphone by means of the VOIP in movement with covering wi-fi, enter in an area that does not have more connection wi-fi, automatically the dumb system and set in motion the plan of its operator, without falling the linking. Two great advantages: drastic reduction of costs, therefore linking VOIP is well cheaper of what of the operators of mobile telephony, and it does not lose the colloquy.

The expectation of the specialists in the subject is well positive in relation the use of technology VOIP in mobile devices. Currently the use of VOIP in mobile devices is inexpressiva in the Country, but it gives credit that it will go to grow very in little time and others until affirm that all the telephony will be based on VOIP in such a way for the corporative use as for the final consumers.
