Siemens: VoIP vai ser baseado em software

As plataformas de comunicação via IP corporativas devem deixar de ser fundamentadas em hardware proprietário, passando a ser baseadas em software aberto. Foi o que garantiu o diretor Técnico da Siemens Enterprise Comunications, Tadeu Viana, que esteve em Porto Alegre nesta terça-feira, 22, participando do Meeting de TI da Federasul.

"Para obter ganho de produtividade é necessário integrar o VoIP a sistemas corporativos, como ERPs e CRMs, o que não é possível com o modelo tradicional", explica o executivo. Viana cita como vantagens das plataformas baseadas em software a possibilidade de concentração em um só servidor, o que gera ganhos de escalabilidade e facilita a administração.

Gartner aponta tendência
Viana apresentou números do Gartner que comprovam a tendência. Segundo o instituto de pesquisa, o número de ramais corporativos baseados totalmente em IP subirá dos 10% registrados em 2005 para 35% em 2010. Os PABX mistos manterão a participação na casa dos 50%, com a diferença que serão mais digitais, com 39% das portas nesse formato, três vezes mais que hoje. Terminais telefônicos tradicionais despencam de 34% para 8%.

Os mercados europeu e americano serão os principais responsáveis pelo avanço, que deve ser seguido por um delay de até três anos pelo Brasil. Segundo o executivo da Siemens, os responsáveis pela situação são as operadoras de telecom, que ainda não foram pressionadas pelas empresas de VoIP a ponto de oferecer planos com o sistema, e o custo equipamento.

"Esse último fator vamos corrigir até o final do ano, quando a Siemens deve começar a fabricar terminais totalmente digitais no Paraná", revelou Tadeu.
