Sony e a empresa de comunicação BT estão unidas para transformar o Play Station Portátil em um celular com a tecnologia VoIP.

Para utilizar o serviço, os usuários do PSP devem comprar o microfone e a câmera para o aparelho, vendidos separadamente. A câmera custa em média 70 dólares e o microfone ainda não começou a ser vendido. Além do recurso áudio visual, os novos celulares poderão trocar mensagens de texto , como qualquer outro telefone móvel.
