Brasileiro usa cada vez mais telefone via internet

A tecnologia de ligações via internet entrou de vez na casa dos brasileiros. A estimativa, segundo a consultoria Yankee Group, é que o tráfego vá quadruplicar este ano, quando 8% dos telefonemas no país devem ser por Voip (sigla para transmissão de voz pela rede mundial de computadores). De acordo com matéria publicada neste domingo pelo jornal O Globo, os analistas de tecnologia da informação da IDC prevêem que, em 2010, essa parcela chegará a 50%.

Foi uma revolução silenciosa , em apenas cinco anos. Muitos consumidores já utilizam Voip, mesmo sem saber, em casa, no trabalho e mesmo na rua, pois já existem alguns orelhões com a tecnologia. A nova forma de se falar ao telefone chegou inclusive a áreas remotas, onde antes não havia linhas fixas nem cobertura de celular .

Segundo estudo do banco JP Morgan, atualmente, há 1,2 milhão de usuários no Brasil, sendo que a maioria foi atraída pelos baixos preços. O sistema permite ligações gratuitas entre clientes de uma mesma empresa e tarifas muito mais em conta para chamadas de longa distância.

Como nunca se vendeu tantos computadores no Brasil — este ano, devem ser 10 milhões, uma alta de 20% em relação a 2006 —, mais gente poderá acessar a internet e usar o Voip.
